Alma Hybrid is an advanced fractional resurfacing platform that combines an ablative CO₂ laser with a non-ablative 1570 nm laser. The system allows treatment settings to be individualized based on skin concerns, treatment goals, and the level of resurfacing appropriate for each patient.
Its HyGrid™ technology can combine the two wavelengths in a customized pattern of microscopic treatment zones, allowing the provider to balance ablative resurfacing with deeper non-ablative thermal stimulation.
Alma Hybrid combines two laser wavelengths with Alma's IMPACT ultrasound technology. Your treatment plan and settings are selected and adjusted by the treating provider after consultation.
The 10,600 nm CO₂ laser creates fractional microscopic treatment channels at the skin surface to support resurfacing and the skin's healing response.
The 1570 nm wavelength delivers thermal energy below the surface while leaving the epidermis intact, supporting dermal remodeling.
IMPACT ultrasound technology is designed to enhance transepidermal delivery through microchannels created during treatment when clinically appropriate.
Traditional resurfacing platforms may rely primarily on a single type of laser effect. Alma Hybrid's HyGrid mode is designed to let the provider customize the ratio of ablative CO₂ treatment to non-ablative 1570 nm treatment within the same treatment pattern.
That flexibility allows treatment planning to be tailored to the patient's skin, concern, desired intensity, and expected recovery period rather than using the same resurfacing approach for everyone.
Appropriate indications depend on individual evaluation, skin type, medical history, treatment settings, and applicable device clearances.
Resurfacing treatments may be used to improve the appearance of fine lines, textural irregularities, and photodamaged skin.
Alma lists scar revision, including certain acne, surgical, burn, and traumatic scars, among the platform's treatment applications.
Fractional resurfacing may support smoother-looking skin, more even tone, and overall skin rejuvenation.
Selected fractional protocols may be used for certain pigmentation and dyschromia concerns after appropriate evaluation.
Thermal stimulation is designed to support dermal remodeling and may be incorporated into treatment plans for skin quality and laxity concerns.
Alma identifies striae among platform applications in select regions. Treatment suitability must be evaluated individually.
Treatment intensity, preparation, comfort measures, recovery, and the number of sessions vary. Your provider will give you individualized pre- and post-treatment instructions.
We review your goals, skin concerns, medical history, medications, prior treatments, and whether laser resurfacing is appropriate for you.
Your provider selects the treatment approach and settings based on the area being treated, desired outcome, and expected recovery.
Comfort measures may be used. Treatment time varies according to the area and selected protocol.
Redness, warmth, swelling, dryness, flaking, or other temporary post-treatment changes may occur. Follow the aftercare plan provided to you.
Results develop as the skin heals and remodels. Follow-up and additional treatments are individualized.
No. Alma Hybrid includes a 10,600 nm CO₂ laser and a non-ablative 1570 nm laser. Its HyGrid mode is designed to allow the two laser effects to be customized within a fractional treatment pattern.
Downtime varies with treatment intensity, area, skin response, and the protocol selected. Alma describes the system as customizable so recovery can be considered as part of treatment planning. Your provider will discuss expected recovery before treatment.
Discomfort varies by treatment intensity and individual sensitivity. Comfort measures, including topical numbing when appropriate, may be discussed as part of your treatment plan.
Some visible skin changes occur during recovery, while additional improvement may develop over time as healing and dermal remodeling continue. Timing varies by treatment and patient.
A consultation is required. Your provider will consider your skin, medical history, medications, prior procedures, treatment goals, contraindications, and applicable device indications before recommending treatment.
We believe the best aesthetic work is personalized, intentional, and never one-size-fits-all.
Before-and-after images will be added as they become available with appropriate patient consent. Contact us to discuss realistic expectations for your individual treatment plan.

Mountain Maryland Medical Aesthetics was created to bring modern aesthetic care to Frostburg and the surrounding Mountain Maryland community in a setting that feels welcoming, polished, and personal.
Our philosophy is simple: listen first, educate throughout the process, and create a treatment plan that respects your individual features and goals.
Mountain Maryland Medical Aesthetics is owned and operated by a local clinical team providing care directly within the practice.
Hi! I’m Greta, a lifelong resident of Mineral County, West Virginia, where I live with my husband and am the proud mother of one grown son. I graduated from Mineral County Schools and began my nursing career in 2001 at Sacred Heart Hospital. Over the past 25 years, I have had the privilege of caring for patients in a variety of settings, including critical care, float pool, pediatrics, pre- and postoperative care, and many other areas of bedside nursing.
Education has always been an important part of my career. I previously served as a nursing instructor at Allegany College of Maryland, where I had the opportunity to help educate and mentor future nurses.
I earned my Master’s degree in nursing in 2012 and graduated from Shenandoah University in 2013 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I began practicing in primary care that same year and now have more than 13 years of experience as an FNP. Since 2019, I have served as the Medical Director and medical provider at Proactive Primary Care, where I continue to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to the community I call home.
As my career has evolved, I have expanded my clinical expertise into medical aesthetics. I completed specialized training and received my aesthetics certification through Monarch Master Injectors. As a Master Injector, I strive to combine my clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and commitment to safety with an individualized approach to each client. My goal is to enhance natural features and help clients feel refreshed, confident, and comfortable in their own skin.
I have had the pleasure of working alongside Rondal Zapf and Kendall Kidwell for more than 10 years. Over that time, we have developed a strong professional relationship built on trust, teamwork, and a shared dedication to providing exceptional care.
With our combined experience, skills, and dedication, I am so excited to bring Mountain Maryland Medical Aesthetics to our local community. For me, this is about more than aesthetics. It is about creating a welcoming space where clients can receive high-quality, personalized services from providers they know and trust.
Hi, I’m Rondal! I’m a dual-certified Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner with more than 13 years of experience as a nurse practitioner and 27 years in healthcare. My clinical background includes emergency medicine, dialysis, and pediatrics, which has given me a strong foundation in both acute and chronic care. Those experiences have shaped the way I approach every patient—with an emphasis on safety, education, prevention, and truly individualized care.
I earned my master’s degree in Family Nurse Practice from Shenandoah University and further advanced my clinical expertise through a fellowship with Medical Emergency Professionals (MEP). Throughout my career, I’ve continued to pursue advanced education in medical aesthetics, metabolic health, hormone optimization, wellness, and preventive care. I believe continuing to learn is essential to providing thoughtful, evidence-informed care that evolves with each patient’s needs.
Over time, I became increasingly interested in a more proactive approach to healthcare—one that goes beyond treating illness and focuses on helping people feel and function at their best. I believe care should support longevity, energy, confidence, hormone balance, healthy weight management, and overall quality of life while still being medically sound and personalized to the individual.
For the past five years, I have owned and operated a medical spa providing neurotoxins, dermal fillers, medical weight management, men’s and women’s bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and peptide therapy. My approach combines the safety and clinical judgment developed through decades of medical practice with aesthetic and wellness treatments designed to create natural, sustainable, and meaningful results.
My philosophy is to treat the whole person rather than focusing on a single symptom or concern. Whether your goals involve graceful aging, improved energy, weight management, hormone balance, aesthetic enhancement, or overall health optimization, I want you to feel heard, informed, comfortable, and confident in your care. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where we can build a plan that fits your needs and helps you enhance your natural appearance, optimize your health, and feel your best at every stage of life.
Hello, everyone! I bring a diverse healthcare background along with a genuine passion for helping others feel confident in their own skin. My experience includes skilled nursing care, dementia care, medical-surgical care, emergency care, primary care, wound care, home care, and medical aesthetics. These experiences have given me a well-rounded clinical foundation and have shaped the personalized approach I bring to every client.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Frostburg State University, graduating cum laude, and I’m approaching the finish line of my master’s degree, with graduation expected in December 2026, as I prepare to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. I have also completed advanced training in aesthetic medicine and am a Master Injector. My goal is to create natural, balanced results that enhance each client’s unique features while still allowing them to look and feel like themselves.
Outside of aesthetics, I’m a mother of two, a grandmother of one, a full-time student, and a full-time healthcare professional. Advocacy is also very close to my heart. I am passionate about rare disease awareness and advocating for children affected by abuse, including sexual abuse. Giving back to my community is incredibly important to me, and I also enjoy volunteering in support of veterans and local animal shelters.
I understand firsthand what it means to have a busy schedule and how stress, exhaustion, and everyday responsibilities can affect our skin, confidence, and ability to prioritize ourselves. Living a busy life myself gives me a different perspective when clients come to me with concerns about their skin or appearance. I understand that self-care has to be realistic and fit into real life.
I believe skincare and aesthetic treatments should be approachable, individualized, and designed around each client’s needs, goals, and lifestyle. At Mountain Maryland Medical Aesthetics, I combine my clinical knowledge, artistry, compassion, and real-life experience to help my clients feel heard, cared for, refreshed, and confident—while still looking completely like themselves.
